Invalid Application Key When Using Correct And Most Recent Key

Problem

You are receiving an "Invalid Application Key" error in VCM Scanner or VCM Editor, even though you have verified that the application key is correct and the most recent one.


Resolution

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Uninstall VCM Software:

    • Remove all existing VCM Suite software from your computer.
  2. Delete HP Tuners Subfolder:

    • Navigate to your computer's My Documents folder.
    • Delete the HP Tuners subfolder to ensure no leftover settings interfere with the reinstallation.
  3. Download Latest Software:

    • Visit the HP Tuners website and download the latest BETA software.
  4. Install the Software:

    • Install the downloaded BETA software on your computer.
  5. Enter Application Key:

    • Open VCM Suite and go to the Help menu.
    • Select Application Keys and enter the most recent key associated with your MPVI device.

If the Problem Persists

If the error continues, open a support ticket with HP Tuners and provide the following information:

  • A VCM Suite Infolog report.
