Commit Failed
Problem
A "Commit Failed" error indicates that your MPVI has run out of available license slots, preventing you from licensing additional vehicles.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
Locate the License.dat File:
- Navigate to This PC > Documents > HP Tuners > Settings on your computer.
- Locate the License.dat file.
Open a Support Ticket:
- Submit a support ticket through HP Tuners.
- Attach your License.dat file for further assistance.
Application Key for MPVI and MPVI Pro
If you have an MPVI or MPVI Pro and need your most recent application key, here are the available methods to retrieve it:
HP Tuners Website:
- If your device is registered, log into the HP Tuners website and visit the My Devices page.
- Your most recent application key will be listed there.
Original Paperwork:
- If you have not purchased credits, check the paper that came with your device for the key.
Purchase Email:
- If you’ve purchased credits, the email receipt will include the most recent application key, reflecting any credits purchased up to that point.
Installed Software:
- If the software is installed on your computer:
- Open VCM Editor or VCM Scanner.
- Click Help > Application Keys.
- This will display all keys entered into the software on that computer, along with associated serial numbers.
- If the software is installed on your computer:
Contact Support:
- If you still cannot find your application key:
- Open a support ticket and include a clear picture of the back of your interface showing the serial number.

Important Notes
- MPVI2, MPVI2+, and MPVI3 do not use application keys.
- Ensure you provide accurate details to expedite resolution.
