Registering Your MPVI2, 2+, or 3

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Initial Setup:

   • Complete the initial device setup. Refer to Preparing a New Interface Device for Use for detailed instructions.

2. Connect to the Internet:

   • Ensure your computer is connected to the internet.

3. Open VCM Software:

   • Launch VCM Scanner or VCM Editor.

4. Retrieve Verification Code:

   • In the menu bar, select Help > MPVI2 Verification Code.
   • Write down or keep open the window displaying the Serial Number and Verification ID.

5. Create an HP Tuners Account (if needed):

   • If you don’t already have an account, create one. See Creating an Account for guidance.

6. Log into Your HP Tuners Account:

   • Navigate to the customer account page: https://www.hptuners.com/my-account/.

7. Access the My Devices Tab:

   • Select the My Devices tab from the sidebar on the left side of your account page.

8. Register the Device:

   • Under the MPVI2/MPVI2+/MPVI3heading, enter:
     • The Serial Number from Step 4.
     • The Verification ID from Step 4.
   • Click Import.

9. View Device Summary:

   • After registration, a summary of the device will appear below the input fields.
   • If you have multiple devices registered, locate the new device by its serial number in the left-hand column.

What the Summary Includes

The device summary provides:

• The total number of credits on the device (if any).
• Whether the Pro Feature Set or User Defined Parameters have been licensed for the device.
• Links to purchase additional features or options.
