"The Data You Just Read Isn't From Your Vehicle" Message

Why This Happens

Some modern vehicles/controllers cannot be read through the OBD-II port, but they can still be flashed without issue.

When VCM Editor detects one of these modules, it automatically generates a stock calibration based on the vehicle's detected information.

What You Need to Know

• This is normal for certain vehicles and does not indicate an error.
• If the vehicle was previously tuned, VCM Editor will not retrieve that tune—it will only generate a stock calibration.
• If you proceed with tuning, you will overwrite any previous custom tune on the module.

How to Proceed

• If you are comfortable using the generated stock calibration, click OK and continue tuning.
• If you want to retain a previous custom tune, ensure you have a backup of the calibration before proceeding.
