2017+ GM Seed/Key Process

All 2017+ GM vehicles use a seed/key process for accessing the PCM. 

Important Steps:

1. First-Time Read Requirements:

   • You must be connected to the Internet.
   • Use VCM Editor version 4.5 or later.
     
     

2. If the PCM Does Not Communicate Immediately:

   • Wait at least 30 minutes and try again.
     
     

If issues persist, ensure you are using the latest software version and have an active Internet connection before attempting again.
