MPVI2 101

The MPVI2 is a versatile tool for scanning, logging, and data transmission. It connects to your vehicle’s OBDII port and comes bundled with VCM Editor, VCM Scanner, and the required USB and programming cables, forming the powerful VCM Suite.


First Use

  1. Download and Install Software:

    • Visit www.hptuners.com/downloads to download the latest version of VCM Suite.
    • Download the MPVI2 device drivers from the same page.
  2. Connect Your Device:

    • Plug the MPVI2 device into your PC via USB.
  3. Resync Your Interface:

    • Open VCM Editor.
    • Select the Help tab and choose Resync Interface from the menu.
  4. Ready to Use:

    • Your MPVI2 is ready for use once the resync is complete.

Registering Your Device

  1. Create or Log Into Your Account:

    • Go to www.hptuners.com/my-account/ to create a new account or log into an existing one.
  2. Retrieve the Verification Code:

    • Open VCM Editor or Scanner and connect your MPVI2 to your PC via USB.
    • Select the Help tab and choose MPVI2 Verification Code.
  3. Add Your Device:

    • In your HP Tuners account, go to the My Devices section and import your MPVI2 using the Verification Code.

Purchasing Credits and Upgrades

  1. Log Into Your Account:

    • Visit www.hptuners.com/my-account/.
  2. Add Credits:

    • Go to the My Devices section and click Add Credits under the License Information column.
  3. Resync Interface:

    • Open VCM Editor, select the Help tab, and choose Resync Interface from the menu.

Troubleshooting

  • Keep Software and Drivers Up-to-Date:

    • Download the latest versions at www.hptuners.com/downloads.
  • Resync the Interface:

    • If issues persist, try resyncing the interface:
      • Open VCM Editor, select the Help tab, and choose Resync Interface.
  • Contact Support:

    • If you’re still having trouble, create a support ticket through HP Tuners. A representative will contact you as soon as possible.
