If you have purchased the TCM for a 2017+ Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra 6.6L Duramax (L5P), please install the TCM at this time. There are no additional steps to be completed.
If you purchased the TCM for ANY vehicle besides a 2017+ Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra 6.6L Duramax (L5P), please read the following steps before installing your new TCM:

Perform the “Replace TCM” special function in VCM Scanner. |

Connect VCM Scanner to the vehicle with the stock TCM installed. |

b. |
Go to Vehicle Controls & Special Functions. |
| |
c. |
Click Replace TCM to start the function (located under System > General). |
| |
d. |
Follow the prompts to complete the Replace TCM process for the stock TCM. |

e. |
When prompted, replace the stock TCM with the HP Tuners unlocked TCM. |

f. |
Connect VCM Scanner to the vehicle with the unlocked TCM installed. |

g. |
Go to Vehicle Controls & Special Functions. |
| |
h. |
Click Replace TCM to start the function (located under System > General). |
| |
i. |
Follow the prompts to complete the Replace TCM process for the unlocked TCM. |
